We should mention about the upset which took place in Lisbon, where higher ranked Belenenses CF (10-6) lost at home to eleventh ranked Electrico FC (8-11) 84-93 on Sunday. American guard Anthony Holliday (191-92, college: Lamar) scored 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Andre Miguens (184-94) chipped in 31 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Rui Palhares (200-0) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the former international Henrique Piedade (189-94) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Belenenses CF players scored in double figures. Belenenses CF's coach Sergio Ramos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Electrico FC maintains eleventh position with 8-11 record. Belenenses CF at the other side dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Electrico FC will meet at home higher ranked Olhanense (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Belenenses CF will play against Sanjoanense in Sao Joao and hope to secure a win.
