Regular Season Round 15: Rilski 2 - Vidabasket 90-62

Rather expected game in Samokov where 6th ranked Vidabasket (2-12) was crushed by fourth ranked Rilski 2 (7-6) 90-62. Rilski 2 forced 19 Vidabasket turnovers and outrebounded them 47-17 including a 39-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Vidabasket's players. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Miroslav Vasov (199-98) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Point guard Borislav Nikolov (185-3) accounted for 13 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Rilski 2's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Kaloyan Petrov (182-97) came up with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and swingman Martin Todorov (204-97) added 16 points respectively for Vidabasket in the defeat. Four Vidabasket players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rilski 2. They maintain fourth place with 7-6 record. Vidabasket lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Rilski 2 will play against league's leader Shumen at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vidabasket will play against CSKA (#5) in Sofia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
