Regular Season Round 19: Buyukcekmece - Anadolu Efes 67-92

BSL top team - Anadolu Efes (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Buyukcekmece (3-16) 92-67. They outrebounded Buyukcekmece 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Anadolu Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alec Peters (206-95, college: Valpo) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. International swingman Tolga Gecim (206-96) contributed with 6 points and 9 assists for the winners. Anadolu Efes' coach Ergin Ataman felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Kaan Sariaslan (193-97) answered with 11 points and 9 assists and point guard Yigit Vardal (190-92) added 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Buyukcekmece. Four Buyukcekmece players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-2 record. Buyukcekmece lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Anadolu Efes are looking forward to face Bursaspor (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Buyukcekmece will play against Bandirma (#7) in Balikesir and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
