Regular Season Round 18: Kakanj - Leotar 72-74

The most interesting game of round 18 was only two-point a home defeat of 7th ranked Kakanj (8-10) to sixth ranked Leotar (9-9) 74-72 in the game for the sixth place. It ended the two-game winning streak of Kakanj. 24 personal fouls committed by Kakanj helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international point guard Marko Rikalo (187-94) scored 22 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Vladimir Aleksic (198-88) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Leotar's coach Miro Vukoje used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Haris Curevac (198-96) with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian swingman Jovan Djordjevic (198-93) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Kakanj players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Leotar maintains sixth position with 9-9 record. Kakanj at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Zrinjski HT and Mladost. Leotar are looking forward to face Mladost (#7) in Mrkonjic Grad in the next round. Kakanj will play on the road against Spars in Sarajevo and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
