The game in Bayreuth was also quite interesting. Third ranked FC Bayern (7-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Heroes (2-9). FC Bayern defeated Heroes 91-77 on Sunday. They outrebounded Heroes 40-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Sierra Leonean center Mohamed Sillah (204-2) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all thirteen shots !!!). Italian guard Sasha Grant (198-2) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Nico Wenzl (185-1) answered with 22 points and 8 assists and Benjamin Hoehmann (198-1) added 22 points in the effort for Heroes. Heroes' coach let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. FC Bayern have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in A South. Loser Heroes keep the seventh position with nine games lost. FC Bayern will face Basketball-Akademie (#5) in Giessen in the next round. Heroes will play on the road against Bamberg/Breit. in Breitenguessbach and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
