Regular Season Round 19: ITU BB - Pinar Karsiyaka 81-91

Very predictable result when second ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (16-3) won against bottom-ranked ITU BB (1-18) in Istanbul 91-81. Pinar Karsiyaka players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Onuralp Bitim (196-99) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Semih Erden (210-86) chipped in 18 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Pinar Karsiyaka's coach Ufuk Sarica let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Matt Mobley (190-94, college: St.Bonaventure) produced 26 points and 4 assists and the former international point guard Mehmet Yagmur (188-87) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pinar Karsiyaka have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-3 record behind leader Anadolu Efes. ITU BB lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Pinar Karsiyaka's next round opponent will be Gaziantep (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. ITU BB will play against OGM Orman (#13) in Ankara and hope to win that game.
