Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Galatasaray and 10th ranked Darussafaka had identical 3-10 record. This time Galatasaray used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Istanbul 82-68 on Sunday night. Galatasaray dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Darussafaka's 26. They outrebounded Darussafaka 48-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Ahmet Yilmaz (-4) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Emir Oflaz (-2) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Ege Ozcelik (-3) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and center Mahmut Celik (206-1) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Galatasaray have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place. Darussafaka lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Galatasaray will face Gaziantep (#12) at home in the next round. Darussafaka will play against Turk Telekom in Ankara and hope to win that game.
