Regular Season Round 19: Amager - Wolfpack 80-99

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kastrup. First ranked Wolfpack faced 4th placed Amager. Guests from Herlev (10-9) smashed host Amager (2-15) 99-80. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 61-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Wolfpack forced 20 Amager turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wolfpack made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for the former international forward Mathias Seilund (200-90, college: Fair Dickinson) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) helped adding 17 points and 6 assists. Wolfpack's coach Pascal Coleman used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and American forward Xavier Williams (208-95, college: Columbus St.) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Wolfpack and four Amager players scored in double figures. Wolfpack maintains first place with 10-9 record. Newly promoted Amager keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Wolfpack will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Amager will play against the league's second-placed Vaerlose (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
