Regular Season Round 19: Svendborg - Naestved 82-79

Important game to mention about took place in Svendborg. Fourth ranked Svendborg (11-9) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Naestved (11-10) 82-79 in the fight for the fourth place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-15. But Naestved won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Naestved 46-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brandon Norfleet (196-93, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Zach Charles (201-95, college: EKU) contributed with 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Rob Marberry (201-96, college: Lipscomb) answered with 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Zarko Jukic (202-93) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Naestved. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Svendborg maintains fourth place with 11-9 record. Naestved at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Svendborg will play against league's second-placed Bakken in Risskov in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Naestved will play on the road against Horsens IC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
