Tenth-ranked BasCats Heidelberg (5-14) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Hannover (11-7). The visitors from Hannover managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Hannover forced 22 BasCats Heidelberg turnovers. Belarusian guard Alexandra Tarasava (172-88) notched 23 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and Slovenian center Teja Gorsic (187-99, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hannover players scored in double figures. Even 28 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Pele Gianotti (180-95, college: UC Davis) did not help to save the game for BasCats Heidelberg. Her fellow American import power forward Victoria Harris (191-96, college: Rutgers) added 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hannover maintains fifth position with 11-7 record. Newly promoted BasCats Heidelberg keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Hannover's next round opponent will be league's leader Gruner Stern Keltern at home and it may be quite challenging game.
