Regular Season Round 20: Stuttgart - Langen 72-80

No shocking result in a game when third ranked TV Langen (12-8) beat on the road 11th ranked Stuttgart (7-13) 80-72 on Saturday. TV Langen forced 19 Stuttgart turnovers. American forward Christopher Edward (201, college: Concordia, OR) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Ruben Spoden (202-89) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jonas Leidel (196-87) replied with 22 points and 4 assists and American power forward Nick Mosley (203-88, college: Tarleton St.) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Stuttgart. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. TV Langen have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position in South-West with 12-8 record having six points less than leader Ansbach. Stuttgart lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. TV Langen will face Kaiserslautern (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stuttgart will play against Idstein and hope to win that game.
