Second Stage Round 5: Ezerunas - Taurages 103-74

Everything went according to plan in Moletai where twelfth ranked Ezerunas (13-19) outscored bottom-ranked Taurages (6-27) 103-74 on Thursday. Ezerunas made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Taurages' players. Swingman Rokas Jukonis (194-90) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Mantas Serksnas (200-96, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 25 points. Five Ezerunas players scored in double figures. Center Oskaras Pleikys (200-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) scored 22 points. Taurages' coach Edvardas Zemgulis gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ezerunas maintains twelfth place with 13-19 record. Taurages lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. Ezerunas will face higher ranked Palanga (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
