Everything went according to plan when second ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (19-6) beat at home 12th ranked Walter Tigers (11-15) 94-87 on Thursday. They outrebounded Walter Tigers 38-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Kasey Hill (185-93, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. Guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade) helped adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's coach Michael Mai allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Diante Baldwin (180-94, college: UNCG) with 20 points and 5 assists and point guard Johnathan Jordan (178-92, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Slash Sports) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. They maintain second place with 19-6 record having five points less than leader Chemnitz. Loser Walter Tigers keep the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will face Lions (#15) in Karlsruhe in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Walter Tigers will play on the road against Nuernberg and hope to win that game.
