Regular Season Round 19: Krofdorf - Neuss 79-96

Very predictable result in Giessen where third ranked TG Neuss (9-7) defeated 8th ranked Krofdorf (7-9) 96-79 on Friday. It was a great evening for swingman Franziska Worthmann (178-86, college: RMU) who led her team to a victory scoring 39 points (!!!). Power forward Britta Worms (188-88) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Tykyrah Williams (180-96, college: Morgan St.) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Czech center Tereza Kracikova (188-96, college: Drexel) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Krofdorf's coach Uwe Scheidemann gave the chance to play for ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory TG Neuss went down to fourth position (North) due to points difference. Loser Krofdorf dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. TG Neuss will face ALBA Berlin (#8) at home in the next round. Krofdorf will play against Panthers Osn. in Osnabrueck and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
