There was no surprise when 7th ranked Lemvig (2-15) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Vaerlose (7-10) 88-75 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 50-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Vaerlose forced 19 Lemvig turnovers and outrebounded them 50-21 including a 26-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Frida Formann (179-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) and guard Emilie Ravn (174-0) who added 24 points during the contest. Vaerlose's coach Thomas Hemmingsen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kali Koenig (168-95, college: Mobile, AL) responded with 29 points and 6 assists and her fellow American import guard Maddie Dackin (175-96, college: Ashland) scored 15 points and 5 assists.
