Very important is a road loss of third ranked TG Neuss (9-7) against sixth ranked Baskets Grunberg (8-8) on Saturday night. Visiting TG Neuss were defeated by Baskets Grunberg in a tough game in Gruenberg 68-73. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-95, college: CBU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Isabell Meinhart (178-94) accounted for 15 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Canadian guard Jill Stratton (180-91, college: Toronto) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Franziska Worthmann (178-86, college: RMU) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for TG Neuss in the defeat. Four TG Neuss players scored in double figures. Baskets Grunberg maintains sixth place in North with 8-8 record. TG Neuss at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Baskets Grunberg will play against league's second-placed Braunschweig on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TG Neuss will play against ALBA Berlin and hope to get back on the winning track.
