The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Sofia: Champion 2006 (#5) and NSA (#7). Champion 2006 (3-0) smashed visiting NSA (1-2) by 17 points 66-49. Champion 2006 forced 24 NSA turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Center Elena Dimova (190-0) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Michaela Damyanova (190-3) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Champion 2006's coach Lachezar Kotsev used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Mihaela Kashanova (173-0) with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Maria Gencheva (185-99) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Champion 2006 have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position in Places 5-9 with 3-0 record. NSA at the other side keeps the seventh place with two games lost. Champion 2006's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sofia to the arena Septemvri 97.
