Bottom-ranked Samsun managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Samsun won against thirteenth-ranked Gemlik in Bursa 78-69. Samsun made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was North Macedonian center Predrag Samardziski (215-86, agency: BeoBasket) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Onur Aksoy (192-84) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Center Yigit Mirza (210-94) produced 15 points and American forward Gary Johnson (201-88, college: Texas) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Gemlik's coach Fatih Elbas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Samsun (4-16) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Ankara B. Gemlik at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Samsun will meet at home higher ranked Akhisar Bld (#6) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gemlik will play against Duzce Belediye (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
