There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Ludwigsburg (6-11) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Saarlouis Roden (4-14) 84-79 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American forward Wendi Bibbins (185-94, college: Indiana St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Fee Zimmermann (166-94) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Saarlouis Roden players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Leonie Elbert (169-96) responded with 30 points and Viktoria Krell (178-85, college: Lindsey Wilson) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Newly promoted Saarlouis Roden maintains tenth place in South with 4-14 record. Ludwigsburg lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Saarlouis Roden will face higher ranked Schwabach (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
