There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Turk Telekom (5-11) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Gaziantep (3-13) 66-58 on Sunday. Gaziantep outrebounded Turk Telekom 49-36 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Koray Cekici (-2) had a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 21 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Ismail Polat (-1) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Batuhan Acar (-2) with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Bora Yasar (-3) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaziantep maintains twelfth position with 3-13 record. Turk Telekom lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. Gaziantep will face league's second-placed Fenerbahce in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
