Rather expected game when 9th ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (6-14) lost on the road to seventh ranked Osnabrueck SC (9-10) 77-63 on Sunday. Osnabrueck SC dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to BC Pharmaserv Marburg's 26. They outrebounded BC Pharmaserv Marburg 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Brianna Rollerson (185-94, college: Creighton) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. Dutch center Rowie Jongeling (188-93) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Tonisha Baker (173-90, college: Campbell) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Theresa Simon (180-98) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for BC Pharmaserv Marburg in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Osnabrueck SC maintains seventh place with 9-10 record. BC Pharmaserv Marburg lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Heidelberg. Osnabrueck SC will meet BasCats Heidelberg (#10) on the road in the next round. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against TV Saarlouis Royals and hope to secure a win.
