Fourteenth-ranked Acibadem (6-14) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Tofas (14-6) in Bursa. Tofas managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Tofas players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American center Devin Williams (206-94, college: WVU) who scored that evening 16 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import Sammy Mejia (199-83, college: DePaul) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 29 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by American point guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Network Sports International) did not help to save the game for Acibadem. Australian-South Sudanese center Mangok Mathiang (208-92, college: Louisville) added 18 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the guests. Tofas maintains fourth position with 14-6 record, which they share with Galatasaray. Acibadem lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. Tofas will play against Galatasaray (#5) in Istanbul in the next round. Acibadem's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Darussafaka.
