Regular Season Round 20: Darussafaka - Turk Telekom 77-80

A very interesting game took place in Istanbul. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Darussafaka (12-8) to ninth ranked Turk Telekom (10-10) 80-77 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Darussafaka. 27 personal fouls committed by Darussafaka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Canadian power forward Kyle Wiltjer (208-92, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. French center Moustapha Fall (218-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Berk Demir (204-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Bonzie Colson-Jr (198-96, college: Notre Dame) added 16 points in the effort for Darussafaka. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Besiktas. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Pinar Karsiyaka at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
