A very close game took place in Istanbul between Besiktas and Afyon Bld. Ninth ranked Besiktas (10-10) got a very close home victory over 12th ranked Afyon Bld (7-13). Besiktas managed to escape with a 2-point win 92-90 on Thursday evening. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin Nemanja Djurisic (203-92, college: Georgia) who scored 25 points. American Toddrick Gotcher (190-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-90, college: Bowling Green) produced 48 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Nigerian power forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Besiktas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Turk Telekom. Loser Afyon Bld dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Gaziantep and OGM Orman. Besiktas will meet Buyukcekmece (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Afyon Bld will play against Fenerbahce (#3) and hope to secure a win.
