Second Stage Round 7: Silute - Vytis 71-78

The game between third ranked Silute (24-11) and seventh ranked Vytis (18-17) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Silute was defeated by Vytis in a tough game in Silute 71-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Silute. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. The former international Simonas Serapinas (197-82) answered with 22 points and Canadian forward Ibrahima Sylla (196, college: UQAM) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Silute. Silute's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vytis moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Silute at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Vytis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Silute will play again on the road against Vytis in Sakiai and is hoping to win this game.
