Second Stage Round 7: Gargzdu - Taurages 82-87

Bottom-ranked Taurages managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of twelve consecutive losses. This time they won against ninth-ranked Gargzdu in Gargzdai 87-82. Taurages players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: Agency) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 4 assists. Point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side swingman Mantas Ruikis (197-85) responded with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Ernestas Jonkus (187-99) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Taurages maintains fifteenth place with 7-27 record. Gargzdu at the other side keeps the ninth position with 17 games lost. Taurages will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gargzdu will play again on the road against Taurages (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
