Very expected game when 8th ranked Perlas (14-21) was smashed by fourth ranked Neptunas-Akv. (20-15) in Klaipeda 110-79. Neptunas-Akv. made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Neptunas-Akv. had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Perlas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Klaidas Metrikis (204-0) fired 30 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Matas Vaitkus (182-0) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Four Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Forward Simas Jarumbauskas (198-0, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and guard Augustas Marciulionis (192-2) added 15 points and 11 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neptunas-Akv. maintains fourth place with 20-15 record. Perlas lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 21 games lost. Neptunas-Akv.'s next round opponent will be again Perlas (#8) in Vilnius.
