Top ranked Anadolu Efes (14-3) recorded its third loss in Istanbul on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by eighth ranked Galatasaray (7-10) 70-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Anadolu Efes. Galatasaray forced 19 Anadolu Efes turnovers. Ahmet Yilmaz (-4) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Tarik Gunay (-1) chipped in 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Goktug Bas (201-1) produced 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Tarik Sezgun (208-1, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Galatasaray have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Besiktas. Anadolu Efes at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Fenerbahce. Galatasaray is looking forward to face higher ranked TED Ankara (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anadolu Efes will play against Turk Telekom (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
