Second Stage Round 6: Triglav - Jezica 55-71

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kranj. 4th ranked host Triglav (6-10) lost to second ranked Jezica (12-3) 71-55. The game without a history. Jezica led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Triglav outrebounded Jezica 45-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. Nina Jesensek (172-98) scored 22 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Sara Meden (171-94) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Jezica players scored in double figures. Jezica's coach Mojca Markovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Yeisy Perez (174-2) with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Alexis Burke (180-92, college: Rutgers) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Jezica maintains second position in Places 1-6 with 12-3 record having five points less than leader Celje. Triglav at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Jezica are looking forward to face Konjice (#6) at home in the next round. Triglav will play against the league's leader Celje and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
