The game in Klaipeda was also quite interesting. Second ranked Lietkabelis (16-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Neptunas (13-10). Lietkabelis managed to secure a 6-point victory 84-78 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Neptunas. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 23-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Lietkabelis looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by international Paulius Valinskas (190-95) who scored that evening 19 points and 6 assists and Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (204-88, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Even 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Osvaldas Olisevicius (200-93) did not help to save the game for Neptunas. Guard Martynas Mazeika (193-85, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lietkabelis have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-7 record having five points less than leader Zalgiris, which they share with Rytas. Loser Neptunas keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Lietkabelis will meet at home P.Zvaigzdes (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Neptunas will play against Siauliai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
