Seventh-ranked Delikatesas (17-19) gave a tough game to second ranked Suduva-Mantinga (30-6) in Joniskis. The visitors from Marijampole managed to secure only three-point victory 69-66. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by the former international Aurimas Kieza (199-82, college: Hofstra) who scored that evening 12 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) supported him with 7 points. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Povilas Sakinis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by Eimantas Stankevicius (192-98, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Delikatesas. Giedrius Stankevicius (207-96) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Suduva-Mantinga have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Delikatesas lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 19 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Zalgiris II (#5) in Kaunas in the next round. Delikatesas will play at home against Silute and hopes to get back on the winning track.
