Regular Season Round 22: Langenhagen - Goetting.ASC 77-70

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Goetting.ASC (15-6) against fifth ranked Langenhagen (14-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Goetting.ASC was defeated by Langenhagen in a tough game in Langenhagen 70-77. Worth to mention a great performance of center Marcel Schwarz (203-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Devon Moore (193-89, college: JMU) contributed with 9 points and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Andrew Onwuegbuzie (192-95) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) added 15 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Goetting.ASC. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Langenhagen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Aschersleben. Goetting.ASC at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Langenhagen will play against Bramsche TuS (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Goetting.ASC will play against the league's second-placed Wolmirstedt (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
