Regular Season Round 21: Lusitania - Terceira 96-71

Bottom-ranked Terceira is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 21th consecutive match to eighth ranked Lusitania (9-12) 96-71 on Saturday evening. Lusitania dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Terceira's 30. They outrebounded Terceira 43-29 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward DJ Foreman (203-94, college: St.Louis, agency: Players Group) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Shaquille Thomas (201-92, college: Cincinnati) accounted for 25 points. American guard Andre Yates (188-94, college: Benedictine, KS) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists and Pedro Santos (190-94) added 25 points respectively for Terceira in the defeat. Lusitania moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ovarense and CAB Madeira. Terceira lost their twenty first game in a row. They still close the standings. Lusitania will meet at home higher ranked Galitos-Barreiro (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Terceira will play against Esgueira / Oli (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
