Regular Season Round 22: Wolmirstedt - Wusterhausen 85-80

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Wolmirstedt (17-3) defeated at home 7th ranked WSG Koenigs (10-11) 85-80 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. WSG Koenigs were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) fired 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Maximilian Rockmann (198-88, college: UMKC) chipped in 18 points. Four Wolmirstedt players scored in double figures. Guard Nico Adamczak (191-90) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Jerrell Martin (198-95, college: Siena Heights) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Wolmirstedt have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in North with 17-3 record behind leader Ansbach. Loser WSG Koenigs keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. Wolmirstedt will face Goetting.ASC (#3) in Goettingen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. WSG Koenigs will play at home against Weser Baskets (#13) and hope to win that game.
