An interesting game took place in Bursa, where 7th ranked Bandirma (11-10) lost to tenth ranked Bursaspor (9-11) in a road game 78-88 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bandirma. Bursaspor forced 20 Bandirma turnovers. Strangely Bandirma outrebounded Bursaspor 39-19 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican guard Gian Clavell (193-93, college: Colorado St.) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. American guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. Five Bursaspor players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Ridvan Oncel (190-97) who recorded 24 points and 7 assists and international Sehmus Hazer (190-99) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Bursaspor maintains tenth place with 9-11 record. Loser Bandirma keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Bursaspor will face Buyukcekmece (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
