We should mention about the upset which took place in Saarlouis, where higher ranked Schwabach (11-7) lost to tenth ranked Saarlouis Roden (5-14) in a road game 56-62 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Schwabach. Saarlouis Roden made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Wendi Bibbins (185-94, college: Indiana St.) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Myrielle Platte (166-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Deeshyra Thomas (168-95, college: Weber St.) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and center Katharina Kreklau (188) added 5 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Saarlouis Roden maintains tenth position in South with 5-14 record. Loser Schwabach keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Saarlouis Roden will face league's second-placed Homburger TG at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
