There was a small surprise in Chemnitz where fifth ranked Oldenburg (5-8) smashed their close opponent NINERS (3-9) 97-52 on Sunday. Oldenburg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to NINERS's 22. They outrebounded NINERS 33-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Oldenburg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by NINERS's players. Alexander Hopp (201-1) fired 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Manuel Bojang (184-1) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Oldenburg players scored in double figures. Point guard Yannick Von Hain (180-2) produced 10 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Kevin Kollmar (189-2) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. NINERS's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Oldenburg moved-up to third place, which they share with Koeln RS. NINERS lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
