Second Stage Round 8: Tofas - Darussafaka 81-65

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Tofas (14-4) beat 10th ranked Darussafaka (5-13) in Bursa 81-65. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Darussafaka's 34. Tofas forced 20 Darussafaka turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Tofas brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Ege Demir who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Batin Tuna (197-3) who added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Efe Sarica (190-2) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and center Mahmut Celik (206-1) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tofas maintains third position with 14-4 record behind leader Tesvikiye. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Tofas will play against Gaziantep (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Darussafaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Fenerbahce.
