Second Stage Round 8: Bandirma - Gaziantep 86-63

Very expected game when 12th ranked Gaziantep (3-15) was smashed by sixth ranked Banvit (10-8) in Bandirma 86-63. Banvit forced 22 Gaziantep turnovers and outrebounded them 42-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Onder Atun (192-1) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 steals and forward Boran Guler (196-1) who added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Banvit players scored in double figures. Forward Emir Gunduc (-2) responded with 17 points and Mehmet Huyuk (-3) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Banvit moved-up to fifth place, which they share with TED Ankara. Gaziantep at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Banvit will play against Besiktas (#8) in Istanbul in the next round. Gaziantep will play on the road against Tofas (#3) in Bursa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
