Rather predictable result in Ulm where tenth ranked OrangeAcademy (9-12) defeated 12th ranked Loewen (3-18) 91-73 on Sunday. OrangeAcademy dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Loewen's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Loewen's players. Naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (197-1) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners and forward Moritz Krimmer (202-0, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Five OrangeAcademy players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Australian-British swingman Adam Thoseby (198-91, college: Georgia SW) with 27 points and point guard Maximilian Kuhle (184-91) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. OrangeAcademy moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with Bayern 2 and Fraport SKY 2. Loser Loewen keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. OrangeAcademy will face Fraport Skyliners II (#10) in Frankfurt in the next round. Loewen will play on the road against the league's leader Elchingen where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
