An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Darmstad. Third ranked Young Tigers faced top-ranked Sudhessen. Guests from Tuenbingen (9-3) defeated host Sudhessen (10-2) 83-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Young Tigers made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Emanuel Francisco (198-1) who scored that evening 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Matti Sorgius (196-1) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Leon Fertig (190-1) did not help to save the game for Sudhessen. Philip Hecker (190-2) added 13 points for lost side. Five Young Tigers and four Sudhessen players scored in double figures. Sudhessen's coach Matthias Donges tested eleven players saving starting five for next games. Young Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Sudhessen still keeps top place with two games lost. Young Tigers will have a break next round. Sudhessen will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Young Tigers in Tuenbingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
