Second Stage Round 4: Craiova - Voluntari 95-66

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Craiova as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Craiova smashed 3rd ranked Voluntari at home 95-66. Craiova dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Voluntari's 26. Craiova forced 19 Voluntari turnovers and outrebounded them 35-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and international swingman Dragos Diculescu (196-99) who added 24 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Craiova players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian forward Nikola Malesevic (202-89, college: URI, agency: BeoExcell) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) scored 21 points. Voluntari's coach Semsettin Bas gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Craiova have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Pitesti. Voluntari at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Voluntari will play next round against Focsani trying to get back on the winning streak. Craiova will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Pitesti on the road.
