The game between closely ranked teams ended with 15th ranked Taurages' (8-28) home loss to fourteenth ranked Silales Lusis (9-26) 70-90 on Thursday. Silales Lusis dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Taurages' 22. They outrebounded Taurages 40-29 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Justas Kosys (183-91) who scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Eimantas Zilius (200-99) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) who recorded 23 points and point guard Arminas Bergaudas (191-1) added 19 points respectively. Newly promoted Silales Lusis maintains fourteenth place with 9-26 record. Loser Taurages stay dead last with 28 lost games. Silales Lusis will face higher ranked Ezerunas (#12) in Moletai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taurages will play on the road against Ereliai Mazeikiai and hope to win that game.
