The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Alexandria's (9-10) road victory over 11th ranked Agronomia (7-11) in Bucurest 59-42 on Thursday. The game without a history. Alexandria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Agronomia to an opponent 23.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.4 percent accuracy of the winners. American guard Shannon Powell (168, college: USF) notched 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Briana Gray (178, college: Weber St.) supported her with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Even 12 points and 5 rebounds by guard Sonia Vilcinschi (175-96) did not help to save the game for Agronomia. Montenegrin Tijana Ninkovic (176-1) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alexandria have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position with 9-10 record.
