Etha snatched a narrow road win over Anagennises in the opener. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Anagennises won third quarter 13-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. InterCollege Etha held Anagennises to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.9 percent accuracy of the winners. InterCollege Etha forced 21 Anagennises turnovers. Strangely Anagennises outrebounded InterCollege Etha 56-38 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Angela Tompkins (188-91, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of her seven free throws). Styliani Theodosiou (175-96) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Tatiana Wayne (168-96, college: Columbus St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Theodora Xenofontos (177-2) added 6 points and 21 rebounds in the effort for Anagennises.
