Regular Season Round 28: Ehingen - Rostock 90-91

Seventeenth-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (4-22) made lots of trouble for thirteenth ranked Rostock (12-15) in Allmendingen. The visitors from Rostock managed to secure only one-point victory 91-90. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by American guard Zach Lofton (193-92, college: N.Mexico St.) who scored that evening 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and center Kalidou Diouf (206-94, college: CBU) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Rostock players scored in double figures. Rostock's coach Dirk Bauermann allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by guard Tim Hasbargen (193-96, college: Babson) did not help to save the game for Ehingen/Urspringschule. Center Akim-Jamal Jonah (211-98, college: San Diego) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Rostock moved-up to twelfth place. Ehingen/Urspringschule lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Rostock will have a break next round. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play on the road against the league's second-placed Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
