Regular Season Round 23: Bamberg - Herzogenaurach 91-78

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Herzogenaurach (9-11) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Bamberg (13-8) 91-78 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Steffen Walde (190-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Daniel Eisenhardt (200-96) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Bamberg's coach Rainer Wolfschmitt used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and Austrian swingman Michael Kaiser (195-82) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bamberg moved-up to third place in South-East. Loser Herzogenaurach keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Bamberg will face Muenchen OSB (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Herzogenaurach will play against the league's second-placed TSV Troester (#2) and hope to win that game.
