Very predictable result in Wildau where seventh ranked WSG Koenigs (10-11) defeated bottom-ranked Weser Baskets (0-20) 87-71 on Saturday. WSG Koenigs made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for guard Nico Adamczak (191-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Guard Thomas Schoeps (188-89, college: Odessa JC) helped adding 10 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Four WSG Koenigs players scored in double figures. WSG Koenigs' coach Michael Opitz used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Forward Nick Hein (198) responded with 25 points and Montenegrin Mersudin Kosuta scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. WSG Koenigs maintains seventh place in North with 10-11 record. Weser Baskets lost their twentieth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 20 games lost. WSG Koenigs will have a break next round.
