Regular Season Round 14: Rivne - Interkhim 92-57

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Interkhim (8-8) against fourth ranked Rivne (9-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Interkhim was crushed by Rivne in Rivne 92-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Interkhim. The game without a history. Rivne led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Tetiana Havrylchyk (193-0) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. The former international guard Viktoriya Shmatova (172-87) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Rivne players scored in double figures. Swingman Svitlana Kolibabchuk (189-87) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Yelyzaveta Mitina (172-98) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivne moved-up to third place. Loser Interkhim dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Rivne will meet at home league's leader Kyiv Basket in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Interkhim will play against Frankivsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
