Second Stage Round 10: Telsiai - Neptunas-Akv. 83-78

An interesting game for Telsiai (31-7) which hosted in Telsiu 4th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (21-17). First ranked Telsiai managed to get a 5-point victory 83-78. Telsiai made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Neptunas-Akv.'s players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-91) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Mindaugas Norkus (200-85) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Center Vytautas Sarakauskas (204-82) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Nojus Mineikis (200-0) added 14 points in the effort for Neptunas-Akv.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Telsiai maintains first position with 31-7 record, which they share with Suduva-Mantinga. Neptunas-Akv. at the other side keeps the fourth place with 17 games lost. Telsiai is looking forward to face league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neptunas-Akv. will play at home against Silute and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
